Every day, Elia publishes real-time electricity prices that update every 15 minutes. On sunny afternoons, prices go negative, meaning the grid is literally overflowing with cheap, clean power. And yet, most people are still paying a fixed rate, or at best an hourly dynamic tariff that doesn't come close to capturing that value.
